The Marker Workflow
Marker for Creators helps you mark important moments while filming, so they appear directly inside your editing timeline. No rewatching. No manual syncing. Just editing.
The workflow is simple:
Setup → Record & Mark → Import → Edit
1. Setup
Install the iPhone app and the Companion App on your computer. Set up your camera's timecode. Choose your editing software.
2. Record & Mark
Start a session in the Marker app. While filming, tap a marker button whenever something important happens - a great take, a mistake, a highlight, a cut point. Add notes. Activate timelines to organize your clips automatically.
3. Import
Open the Companion App on your Mac or PC. Your session syncs automatically. The Companion finds your footage, matches everything, and builds your project. Press play - your editing software opens with markers and timelines ready.
4. Edit
Your markers are placed directly on your footage at the exact right position. Your timelines are built with the correct clips in order. Just jump to the moments that matter and start cutting.
