Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Marker is built for iPhone and Apple Watch first. An Android version is planned. Leave your email and we'll tell you the moment it ships:
Does it work with my camera?
Yes. Marker works with every camera. It syncs via timecode: Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, Panasonic, FUJIFILM, Nikon and more. The app shows you exactly how to enable it on your model, it takes about a minute. And if your camera doesn't have timecode, Rec Run mode has you covered.
Which editing software is supported?
DaVinci Resolve (Studio: fully automatic; free version: one extra click), Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
Do I need the Companion App?
You'll want it. The Companion App gets you from sitting down to editing in about 10 seconds: it builds your project with your timelines and places every marker directly on your video clips. Marker is the only app that does this, so you can cut and move clips freely and your markers stay exactly where they belong. Prefer a manual workflow? Legacy mode lets you export files like .edl for DaVinci Resolve instead, with fewer features. Get the Companion App
Does Marker record video?
No. Your camera records, Marker captures the metadata: markers, notes and timelines, perfectly synced via timecode.
What does Marker Free include?
Almost everything: 10 hours of recording every month, 4 marker buttons, one-click import with the Companion, timelines and both session modes. Pro adds unlimited recording, the Apple Watch app, more marker layouts and pages, notes on markers and external timecode support for professional sets.
